Martindale PD700 50V/700V AC Proving Unit

The Martindale PD700 is a 700V AC proving device, it features a low 50V check as well as a high 700V check and is designed to prove the correct operation of voltage indicators and testers in compliance with Health & Safety recommendations. Using a voltage indicator without first proving it is working correctly could prove fatal.

The PD700 is compatible with the new Martindale VI-15000 and other 690V voltage indicators. This model is also suitable for use with any 690V two pole voltage tester, with LED or LCD indication and will illuminate all LEDs up to the full working range.
The PD690 can be used to prove 690V Drummond LED lamps and other filament test lamps as its output is sufficient to illuminate the bulb.

It is good practice to match the output voltage of the proving unit with the voltage range of the instrument to be proved.

There is now a facility to power the PD700 proving devices with the addition of a 12V DC power connection point. The units can be powered by either alkaline batteries or a 12V power supply. There are two power supply units available for the proving devices, the PSUPD230 and the PSUHPAT12. The PSUPD230 can be connected to mains power and the PSUHPAT12 is a 12v power supply suitable for use in a car/van cigarette lighter.
