There are other hidden dangers that, even with a rigorous safe isolation process, can still be present. One issue is the injuries caused to engineers, contractors, electricians and other workers coming into contact with live metalwork.
In this video, Martindale’s Glenn Patullo demonstrates a live metal check using the VT7 single pole indicator on an AC system. The video shows checks being carried out on exposed metal parts and screws, as well as the enclosure itself.
