The new generation of insulation testers from Martindale Electric combines the latest digitally controlled microprocessors and integrated circuits with a number of features for ease of use. They also offer full compliance with the new Part P Building Regulations inspection and testing requirements.
With dimensions of 90mm x 210mm x 54mm, the IN2101 & IN2103 insulation testers are made from tough ABS, offering high durability, with a stylish design that enables one-handed use. The large LCD display is clear, easy to read and backlit for use in dimly lit situations. It provides both digital and analogue indicators to suit users’ preferences.
A large rotary switch and easily accessible buttons enable the user to select the required function, even when wearing gloves. Both models also incorporate an internal battery check facility, indicating energy levels as well as percentage and voltage. The advanced display also indicates the test voltage output by the instrument, providing that sufficient voltage is available for accurate measurement.
In addition to the standard functions on both models, the top of the range IN2103 is able to test at 250V, 500V and 1000V DC. It also has 99 memory locations to store test results, which can be recalled when necessary. Specialist functions include user-settable limits with pass/fail indication, polarisation index and dielectric absorption ratio for enhanced testing.
The IN2101 offers a range of 0.2mΩ to 4000MΩ and the IN2103 offers a range of 0.2mΩ to 5000 MΩ, both with an accuracy of ±3% of readings + 5 digits and a resolution of 0.01.
Both models are supplied with batteries, instructions, carry case and test leads.
